Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and innovative Freelance DevOps Consultant to join our team on a project basis. As a leading consulting firm, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional results for our clients through cutting-edge solutions. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our clients build processes and continuous integration (CI) pipelines, ensuring the seamless development and deployment of applications.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and modular pipeline automation across various stages of testing and development, including test automation architecture and infrastructure.
Architect and develop the runtime platform and surrounding CI/CD landscape to support a complex microservice system.
Ensure the quality of build pipelines and test automation, including the creation, execution, evaluation, and documentation of automated test cases.
Implement and maintain technical and functional automated test scripts, as well as automated test data management for preparation, safeguarding, and resetting of test data.
Advise teams to optimize workflow and collaboration, particularly regarding DevOps practices, ensuring 24/7 availability of systems.
Oversee documentation organization and optimize work organization according to DevOps principles.

Requirements:

Proven experience in developing with containers (Docker) and distributed container runtime environments (e.g., Kubernetes).
Expertise in deploying microservices and knowledge in planning and practical implementation of cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and container solutions.
Experience in developing, launching, and maintaining production-ready cloud-based solutions in a business environment incl. multi-staging, logging and monitoring
Familiarity with agile development and process methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban, ...) and corresponding tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jira
Familiar with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
Experience in setting up pipelines (CI/CD) with tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
Proficient in Bash and Python, Java, JavaScript or Golang
Possibly with certification in one of the cloud providers (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Experience in both static and dynamic application security testing
