GitLab – DevOps Lead (f/m/d)

We are looking for reinforcement in the form of a DevOps Lead to our GitLab team. GitLab is a team of dedicated consultants working with advanced system development in the Development Operations (DevOps) area with a strong focus to have satisfied customers. As a team member, you will work for one of our largest customers a worldwide telecommunication company, ranked in the top of the list of software development companies.

Our unit Tietoevry Create is one of the largest telecom expert players in communications and embedded technologies. Today, half of the world’s mobile phone calls are possible because of Tietoevry's product development services.

What will you be involved in:

• Leading the DevOps team

• Working together with the team to ensure service implementation and operations at all delivery location:

  • Ensuring daily Service support during local business hours.

  • Incident Management:

  • Problem Management

  • Change Management

  • Setup and perform service release tests for their specific area.

  • Take responsibility in resolving and/or support in technical problems related to issues that arise from incidents.

  • Supporting the service by suggesting technical improvements, participating in capacity planning, etc.

  • Create and update documentation related for their specific area.

  • Always participate in RCA (Root Cause Analyze) for their specific area.

  • Always involved and support bug reporting for their specific area.

• 24/7 – on call duty.

We expect you to have excellent skills in English and to be familiar in an agile environment. We also want you to have skills in the following areas:

• GitLab (3+ years of experience)

  • Gitlab general knowledge

  • Administration

  • Configuration

  • CI/CD knowledge

• AO related key competencies:

  • Linux

  • Automation (Ansible)

  • Monitoring (Grafana, Prometheus)

  • Docker

• DevOps key competencies:

  • General SCM knowledge

  • Git

  • CI/CD knowledge

  • GitLab

  • Python (optional Java)

• Optional competencies:

  • HAProxy

  • Nginx

  • Redis
