Role and Responsibilities
The JavaScript Web Tech Lead will play a critical role in delivering innovation and growth for the Banking Solutions business. As a JavaScript Web Tech Lead, you will take charge of the technical direction and execution of our web based digital banking applications. Your technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic vision will drive the success of our web projects and contribute to the overall growth of our company.
Lead the delivery of web applications within the Digital domain, ensuring alignment with business goals, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend developers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes in the FinTech sector, and incorporate them into the web application architecture as needed.
Evaluate third-party tools, frameworks, and APIs for integration into web applications, considering factors such as security, performance, and scalability.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in web application development processes, tooling, and automation to enhance efficiency, quality, and time-to-market.
Act as a technical mentor and coach to web developers, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and excellence within the web development team.
Professional Qualifications
Strong proficiency in web app development frameworks and technologies such as , React JS, with a deep understanding of web application architecture patterns (e.g., MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture).
Familiarity with backend technologies, APIs, and microservices architecture, enabling seamless integration between web apps and backend systems.
Understanding of financial services industry regulations, compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS), and security standards related to web app development.
Knowledge of financial products, payment systems, banking protocols, and industry trends, enabling the design of web applications that meet user needs and regulatory guidelines.
Ability to mentor and coach development teams, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and training sessions on web application architecture best practices.
Deep understanding and commitment to software engineering principles and processes (e.g., Lean, Agile, DevOps) and continuous improvement through measurement.
Demonstrates judgment and flexibility; thinks about issues and develops solutions that thoughtfully take the broader context into account - positively deals with a shifting demand for time, priorities, and the rapid change of environments.
Penchant for excellence, both personally and professionally, demonstrated by intellectual curiosity, record of accomplishment, and reputation; shows strong attention to detail and implementation of best practices with an inclination for continuous improvement.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $131,290.00 - $220,600.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
