Your missions

This is a remote position.

We are seeking a highly skilled Solver Specialist with expertise in Mathematical Programming, specifically Mixed Integer Programming (MIP) and Linear Programming (LP) Solvers. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mathematical background, practical experience in deploying solver solutions, and a solid understanding of Supply Chain Management (SCM) concepts. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency and business acumen to set up, tune, and debug solver operations effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Solver Expertise:

Utilize in-depth knowledge of MIP and LP solvers to develop and optimize solutions.
Understand and implement various solver constraints and exceptions.
Mathematical Proficiency:

Apply advanced mathematical concepts and methods to solve complex problems.
Translate business cases into mathematical models for solver setup.
Business Understanding:

Analyse business requirements and configure solvers to meet specific needs.
Engage with stakeholders to comprehend and address their unique business challenges.
Implementation Experience:

Lead and contribute to at least two greenfield implementation projects involving solver solutions.
Ensure successful deployment and integration of solver technologies.
Supply Chain Management Knowledge:

Implement deployment strategies, manage lead times, and plan capacities.
Set up preference configurations, transportation lanes, and sequencing parameters.
Handle special planning concepts like ASAP, DSCP, stock rebalancing, and more.
Cost Policies Setup:

Establish and manage cost policies within the solver framework to ensure optimal cost-efficiency.
Solver Fine-Tuning:

Perform fine-tuning of solver attributes to enhance performance and accuracy.
Continuously monitor and adjust solver parameters as needed.
Debugging and Issue Resolution:

Identify and resolve issues encountered during solver runs.
Understand solver logs and execute batch job reboots when necessary.
Constraints and Exceptions Setup:

Configure and maintain solver constraints and exceptions to align with business requirements.

Qualifications:
Educational Background:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience with MIP and LP solvers.
A minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a supply chain or logistics environment.

Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficiency in SCM concepts and deployment strategies.
Familiarity with special planning concepts and their implementation.
