Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Embedded System Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The candidate would work on the onboard infrastructure projects for embedded systems, such as implementing middleware/ROS core functionalities, conduct optimizations to reduce latency and improve determinism, and migrate applications from powerful servers to embedded systems.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and implement embedded software and hardware solutions for autonomous trucking systems.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
3. Develop and maintain firmware for microcontrollers and other embedded devices.
4. Implement middleware/ROS core functionalities for autonomous vehicle applications.
5. Conduct system-level testing and debugging to ensure functionality and performance of embedded systems in autonomous trucks.
6. Optimize and enhance existing embedded systems for improved performance and efficiency, focusing on reducing latency and improving determinism.
7. Migrate applications from powerful servers to embedded systems tailored for autonomous trucks.
8. Develop and maintain documentation for embedded systems, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.
9. Stay updated with the latest advancements in embedded systems technology and autonomous vehicle standards, incorporating best practices into projects.
10. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for embedded systems in autonomous trucking solutions.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in embedded systems design and development.
3. Strong C++ programming skills.
4. Expertise in one of the following fields: Computer Architecture, RTOS, or Embedded System.
5. Proficiency in additional programming languages such as Python or Assembly.
6. Experience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
7. Strong understanding of hardware-software integration and embedded systems architecture.
8. Familiarity with communication protocols (e.g., UART, SPI, I2C, CAN).
9. Experience with debugging and testing tools for embedded systems (e.g., oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG).
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
11. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
12. 5+ years of experience in Embedded system design and autonomous driving industry or automotive manufacturing industry

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with middleware development.
2. Experience with Nvidia Drive products.
3. Experience with ARM Cortex-M series microcontrollers.
4. Knowledge of wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee).
5. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
6. Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
