Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and dedicated IT Lead Full Stack Developer and Operations Support Engineer to join our team. This role involves both hands-on development and application support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, software development, security, and DevOps practices. In addition to being part of the development process, this position specializes in maintaining and providing technical support for applications beyond the development stage, ensuring their smooth operation within the firm. The role involves close collaboration with other development teams, infrastructure partners, and internal/external clients to address and resolve technical support incidents. We seek a proactive individual with excellent problem-solving skills who can work effectively across various teams.

As an IT Lead, Full Stack Developer and Operations Support Engineer, your duties and responsibilities will include:

Development:

  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure (preferably GCP)
  • Design and develop Micro Services based solutions using Java/JEE frameworks, UI frameworks, Docker and Kubernetes/EKS
  • Ensure the development of responsive high-performing applications by integrating front-end technologies such as Angular JS
  • Champion the implementation and adoption of modern software development practices, including automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps principles
  • Perform code reviews and provide guidance on secure coding practices
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, working closely with development and QA teams

Application Support:

  • Be available on-call 24/7 to support internal Network Operations applications
  • Expand knowledge base of operating procedures/runbooks for supported applications
  • Collaborate within the team to resolve application alerts and advance as needed
  • Deevlop and implement strategies to improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of the products and services supported by the Network Operations team
  • Monitor Dashboard to provide better access to potential issues and future outages
  • Analyze proposed application design and provide feedback on potential gaps to business requirements
  • Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk, advances appropriately
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices throughout the CI/CD pipeline

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise full stack Java development (J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Tomcat) with back-end experience in PostgreSQL or MySQL with Angular front end
  • 3+ years of experience in DevSecOps, infrastructure, and application support.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience mentoring junior developers and driving technical excellence within the team
  • Proven expertise in Agile development
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and version control systems (Git)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in GCP and cloud-native architectures
  • Strong experience in APM tools configuration and monitoring (Dynatrace/AppDynamics/New Relic/Datadog/Splunk/Sumo Logic)

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • GCP Professional Cloud Architect Certification 
  • 2+ years of experience in telecom industry
