Your missions

Overview:
The Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) at Roji plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity, security, and performance of the company's Oracle databases. The DBA is responsible for ensuring data availability, implementing and maintaining database security, and resolving database performance and capacity issues. They collaborate with other teams to design and implement new database architectures and optimize existing structures, contributing to the overall success of Roji's data management strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and configure Oracle database software
  • Monitor and maintain database security and integrity
  • Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Tune and optimize database performance
  • Develop and implement database policies and procedures
  • Upgrade and patch database software
  • Collaborate with application developers to optimize SQL queries
  • Resolve database connectivity and replication issues
  • Manage database storage and capacity planning
  • Implement and maintain database redundancy and failover solutions
  • Provide technical support and guidance to users
  • Analyze and troubleshoot database-related problems
  • Document database configurations and procedures
  • Conduct regular performance testing and monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with data protection regulations
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA
  • Proficiency in Oracle Database 12c and above
  • 5+ years of experience as an SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience in database performance tuning and optimization
  • Understanding of backup and recovery methods
  • Knowledge of database security concepts and best practices
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Certifications such as Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) are a plus
  • Experience with Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) is desirable
  • Familiarity with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) is a bonus
  • Understanding of cloud database services is advantageous
  • Knowledge of Oracle Exadata is a plus
