Nexustek’s Cloud delivery organization has both a managed service and a professional services practice.  Your primary focus will be to support our managed services practice.  As demand allows, you may also support our managed services delivery practice for outstanding activities required by our customers. 

 


You know how to:

 

  • Actively engage with customers and other NexusTek support teams as a DevOps/Cloud subject matter expert and escalation point. 
  • Assist in the transformation of architecture and technologies, driving adoption of leading-edge cloud services. 
  • Lead modernization and optimization efforts to improve reliability and scalability of systems and platforms. 
  • Assist the customer with management and improvement with CI/CD pipeline and configuration management tooling and approaches. 
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.  
  • Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the health and performance of our systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar. 
  • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related services. 
  • Implement and maintain security best practices across all aspects of the infrastructure. 
  • Provide prompt, efficient, detailed, customer-oriented service to NexusTek customers. 
  • Work with other customer support teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality level of support. 
  • Be a voice and advocate for our customers when something does not feel right. 
  • Act as an advocate for our customer, reporting and acting on observed areas for improvement. 
  • Actively seeking solutions to customer needs, communicating trends to leadership, and suggesting innovative solutions on behalf of the customer experience. 
  • Assist with customer communication during critical launches and support events. 
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented systems and processes. 
  • Demonstrate analytical/troubleshooting skills and drive to solve problems. 
  • Lead customer discussions and articulate the alignment of technology and business objectives. 
  • Work in a fast-paced support environment and demonstrate just-in-time learning capabilities. 

 

You are skilled in most of these technologies:

 

  • Minimum of 5 to 7+ years working directly with, or in support of Cloud technologies (Azure / AWS / GCP / Other) 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DevOps principles. Hands-on experience required. 
  • Experience with containerization and/or microservices architecture (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) 
  • Practical experience migrating applications, services and/or servers from on-premises/data centers to the cloud. 
  • Experience with configuration management and automation (Terraform, DSC, Ansible, etc.) 
  • Senior-level Linux administration
  • Demonstrated ability in at least one scripting language (Python, Bash, PowerShell, etc.) 

 

 

One or more of the following architect-level certifications may be required: 

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Google Professional Cloud Architect
  • Multiple platform certifications, or equivalent experience (Windows, Linux, etc.).
