Job description

Summary:

Primarily provides pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex products/applications/solutions.  Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations. Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions. May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. May build a mini-application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. May provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation.

Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Contribute to consistent business growth by providing unique expertise

·         Cover all L1-L3 Ethernet products of VIAVI One LabPro High speed platform.

·         To work closely with customers’ R&D, NPI and manufacturing to provide L2/L3 testing solutions

·         Understand real customer requirements. Set right expectation. Propose the right solution and demonstrate compelling value of our products

·         Conduct product/solution demos and on-site trials, coordinating with Sales and BU

·         Conduct user training sessions and help customers starting-up with testing.

·         Create localized test procedure documents according to local customer needs

·         Transfer competencies and technologies to direct sales and channel partners (education)

·         Present Products and Technology at targeted road shows/seminars in the region covered

·         Provide feedback to Division and contribute to their strategy preparation

·         Share experience and best practices with Sales, and BU

·         Collaboration with TAC, Sales and Division to solve post-sales problems in timely and efficient manner, to keep customer with high satisfaction

·         Expect 50% of time for business travel

·         Analyze gaps and propose action plan to fill it
