Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Design Quality Manager to join our team! In this role you will get to develop and implement Design Quality Management Plans and Procedures.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Engage during the proposal phase, to describe design quality processes and procedures in response to RFP requirements

  • Establish, implement, and maintain a Design Quality Assurance System (DQAS) commensurate with the Project requirements and complexity of the Project

  • Provide training of design personnel to ensure awareness of quality procedures and specific responsibilities in the QC process

  • Provide direction to the design team and subconsultants on the DQAS when questions arise or during the review of QC documentation

  • Represent the Design Team on design quality issues at meetings with the Client, third parties and construction staff

  • Perform Auditing/Surveillance of planning and design functions at scheduled intervals to assess conformance with the Contract requirements, as applicable

  • Conduct surveillance of design submittals to confirm the documents are in substantial compliance with the DQAS

  • Determine whether a Corrective Action is necessary to bring awareness of design quality issues to the project manager and Design Team

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Quality discipline

  • Twelve (12) years of design, project management, and design quality experience with 5 years of Design Quality experience

  • Experience developing Design Quality Management Plans and Procedures to Parsons', client and ISO 9001 requirements and standards

  • Registered Professional Engineer or Architect in WA, CA, TX, VA, MD, GA, NY, NJ and/or FL, or ability to obtain within six months of hire date

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Ability to communicate design quality principles clearly

  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft products, SharePoint and ProjectWise

  • Ability to direct and manage team members with day to day activities as well as special projects to assure timely completion

Salary Range: 

$117,000.00 - $227,900.00
