Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced MicroStrategy Developer with a minimum of 5 years in MicroStrategy development. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in BI tools, and have additional knowledge of Crystal Reports. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders to design, develop, and maintain BI solutions that meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
MicroStrategy Development:
Design, develop, and maintain MicroStrategy reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
Create and optimize MicroStrategy schema objects including attributes, facts, hierarchies, and transformations.
Develop and manage MicroStrategy project objects such as metrics, filters, and prompts.
Data Integration and ETL:
Collaborate with ETL developers to ensure accurate data flow and transformation.
Participate in data modeling and data warehouse design sessions.
Performance Tuning:
Monitor and optimize the performance of MicroStrategy reports and dashboards.
Conduct troubleshooting and resolve issues related to MicroStrategy applications.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Provide training and support to end-users on MicroStrategy tools and applications.
Documentation:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of MicroStrategy projects, including design specifications, technical guides, and user manuals.
Knowledge of Crystal Reports:
Utilize knowledge of Crystal Reports to support legacy reporting needs as required.
Assist in the migration of Crystal Reports to MicroStrategy where applicable.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in MicroStrategy development.
Technical Skills:
Proficient in MicroStrategy Architect, Developer, and Web.
Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and relational databases.
Experience with SQL and database query optimization.
Additional Skills:
Knowledge of Crystal Reports.
Familiarity with ETL tools and processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in migrating reports from Crystal Reports to MicroStrategy.

Experience in Agile development methodologies.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
