We are looking for a senior to very senior developer to join our team and help shape the next generation of our solutions. RouteThis has a competitive advantage in how we collect and diagnose WiFi health in a wide variety of situations. In this role you will lead efforts to further extend that advantage by leveraging data, scalable architecture and technical design, and generative AI technologies. The latter are poised to disrupt many industries and the technical and customer support industry that RouteThis serves will be one of the first.

In this role you will:

Evaluate current solutions and lead efforts to improve and extend through innovation and sound technical design

Lead the way by defining and demonstrating what it means to deliver rapidly with quality

Experiment and prototype solutions that leverage new technologies including generative AI to uncover opportunities to extend our competitive advantage

Work with other engineering leaders, product managers, and designers to evaluate experiments in real-life situations

Help shape a roadmap for commercializing the most promising solutions based on feedback from these experiments

Work with other RouteThis product development teams to incorporate new technologies and approaches into our existing product suite

What you bring to the table:

Independent and creative thinking ability

Ability to understand and break down complex problems into manageable pieces that a team can deliver together

Ability to learn, assess and articulate trade-offs in new technologies

Experience with prototyping, rapid deployment and productization (and when to leverage each)

Experience with continuous delivery and what it takes to support it effectively

Can develop rapidly while maintaining and promoting quality practices

Experience identifying both technical and non-technical risks and recommending practical mitigation strategies

Experience mentoring junior to senior developers

Effective communicator in both individual and group settings for both technical and non-technical audiences

Experience with LLMs and similar generative AI technologies and frameworks is an asset but not a requirement
