Business Analyst

The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting our client's team. This position requires an analytical individual with strong research skills to generate insightful reports on specific geographical areas and functions from economic, business opportunities, public, and private sectors. The Business Analyst will also be responsible for identifying and analyzing trends that align with our business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Market Research and Analysis:

• Conduct in-depth market research to identify economic trends, business opportunities, and competitive landscapes in specific geographical areas.
• Analyze public and private sector activities to identify potential opportunities for business expansion and support services.

Report Generation:

• Prepare comprehensive weekly reports on economic and business opportunities, highlighting key insights and actionable recommendations.
• Generate detailed reports on market trends, competitive analysis, and industry developments relevant to the client's objectives.

Data Collection and Analysis:

• Gather data from various sources including market reports, industry publications, government databases, and financial reports.
• Use statistical tools and methodologies to analyze data and derive meaningful insights.

Trend Identification:

• Monitor and analyze market trends, economic indicators, and industry developments.
• Provide timely updates on emerging trends that could impact business strategies and opportunities.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Work closely with the Business Development Manager and other team members to align research and analysis with business goals.
• Present findings and insights in a clear and concise manner to internal stakeholders.

Ad Hoc Analysis:

• Conduct ad hoc analysis and research as required to support various business initiatives and projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in a consulting or business development environment.
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Tableau, Power BI).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Knowledge of the African market is a plus.
• Proficiency in IT, Telecom, Fintech, AI, and Cybersecurity and others
• Good understanding of both private and public sectors.
• Strong knowledge of African regions or its main countries.

• At least 15mbps for main internet and at least 10mbps for backup
• A desktop or laptop that has an i5 processor with at least 8 GB RAM and an i3 processor for backup
• Note: Back-ups should still be able to function when there is a power interruption
