Job Description:
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the Core Services team in our Environment & Infrastructure group to support major clients across the Midwest and Eastern US. We offer opportunities to work remotely. This position requires 35-40% travel to perform surveys of client facilities. Typical assignment is one week in the field and two weeks in the office.

In this role, you will put your expertise in electrical power distribution, lighting, communications, and standby power systems to good use for our clients, making design, performance, repair, and replacement recommendations that improve healthcare/research environments. In addition, you will use Parsons and other client-directed software tools to record information and produce cost estimates for the proposed projects. Responsibilities will include working on professional teams to perform engineering assessments and provide consulting support for infrastructure master planning and program management assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct engineering assessments of electrical systems and equipment, as well as review of design drawings, equipment specifications, load calculations, and other documents for both large and small facilities.
- Evaluate electrical systems and equipment for safety, condition, age, capacity, and design compliance with applicable standards, codes, and regulations.
- Apply strong written and verbal communication skills to developing written reports.
- Assist with preparing client presentations and proposal responses.
- Plan, direct, and supervise the assessment work of other engineers.
Required Education/ Professional Registration
- BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- PE preferred, but not required
Preferred Experience:
- 5+ years of electrical engineering design of hospitals/laboratory facilities.
- Cost estimating using RSMeans Methods for scope of work development
- Autodesk Revit, BIM software
Working Knowledge of the following:
- Facility Guidelines Institute standards for planning, design, and construction of healthcare facilities
- NFPA 99 Healthcare Facilities Code
- NFPA 70 National Electrical Code
- NFPA 110 Standard for Emergency and Standby Power Systems
- UL 1069 Standard for Hospital Signaling and Nurse Call Equipment
- Joint Commission Standards

Salary Range:
$83,300.00 - $168,700.00
