Steel Point is seeking an experienced and certified Project Management Associate with over 8 years of experience to join our dynamic Program Management, Advisory and Administrative support contract. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supporting PMOs, developing, and managing integrated master schedules, and ensuring successful project execution. This role demands a strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

PMO Support and Development:

  • Assist in the establishment and continuous improvement of the Program Management Office.
  • Develop and maintain PMO standards, processes, and templates to ensure consistency and efficiency in project management.

Integrated Master Schedule:

  • Develop, maintain, and update integrated master schedules for multiple complex projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers to ensure alignment of project schedules with the overall program timeline.
  • Monitor and report on project schedule progress, highlighting any variances and potential risks.

Project Planning and Execution:

  • Support project managers in planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring adherence to PMO standards and best practices.
  • Facilitate project kick-off meetings, milestone reviews, and project close-out sessions.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Track project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Prepare and present detailed project status reports and dashboards for senior management and stakeholders.

Risk and Issue Management:

  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and corrective actions as necessary.
  • Maintain a risk and issue log, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.

Stakeholder Communication and Management:

  • Foster strong relationships with project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project objectives.
  • Serve as a liaison between the PMO, project teams, and senior management.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in project management, with a focus on supporting PMOs and managing integrated master schedules.
  • Proven experience in a large, complex program management environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Certifications:

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) Agile Certified Practitioner or PMI PMO Certified Practitioner

Skills:

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Primavera).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities.
