Senior Web Developer

Job Purpose:

The Senior Web Developer is responsible for creating and maintaining, in collaboration with external development teams, the Sinergia Group and its key US customer, Seeksail, Inc., websites (Seeksail.com, LangkawiCruise.com, FindMaid.my and Sinergia.my) ensuring they are up-to-date and user-friendly, designing the layouts, coding, and integrating APIs, while ensuring cross-browser compatibility and optimizing the website for search engines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain the company websites, including developing new pages and features, and ensuring the website is up-to-date and user-friendly
• Ensure the website is optimized for search engines and meets accessibility standards
• Integrate third-party APIs and plugins to enhance the website's functionality and user experience
• Create and maintain website backups and ensure website security and performance
• Collaborate with the digital marketing team to ensure website alignment with overall business goals and objectives
• Stay up-to-date with the latest web development trends, technologies, and techniques and implement best practices to improve the website's functionality and user experience

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in web development and design, with a strong portfolio of websites developed
• Expertise in PHP, WordPress, Zapier, and API integration
• Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with web development frameworks
• Experience in creating responsive websites and ensuring cross-browser compatibility
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and time-management skills

This position is a hybrid role, requiring one day per week in the office and allowing for remote work from home for the remainder of the week.
