Automation Test Engineer

Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate automation tools
• Execute test scripts, analyze results, and report defects
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify test requirements
• Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of software applications
• Participate in product design reviews to provide input on testability of functional requirements
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the automation framework and test processes
• Identify and implement opportunities for test automation
• Participate in the evaluation and selection of automation tools and technologies
• Document test plans, test cases, and test results
• Work closely with developers to resolve testing problems
• Adhere to quality assurance best practices and standards
• Provide input into the release criteria
• Stay updated with industry best practices and technologies in test automation
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis of issues
• Contribute to a culture of innovation and teamwork

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in automated testing of web and mobile applications
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
• Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, or TestComplete
• Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of continuous integration and delivery principles
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Certifications in software testing or test automation is a plus
• Understanding of Agile methodologies is advantageous
