Your missions

This is a remote position.

The Payroll Operations Manager is responsible for leading a payroll team that oversees multi-state payroll processing of thousands of employees for companies across the country. This role is a key business partner with other functions to drive improvements to ensure scalability as the business continues to grow, while also ensuring an exceptional employee experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts interviews, performance evaluations and salary planning for department personnel.
  • Sets and communicates goals to achieve the overall operation goals as measured by quality results, business retention, profitability, etc.
  • Reviews and provides budget, activity and progress reports in accordance with deadlines.
  • Ensures maximum system utilization, all production and user needs are met and all issues are resolved rapidly.
  • Measures and improves productivity through the use of statistical reports.
  • Restructures roles as needed to improve efficiency.
  • Performs other relevant duties and assignments as directed.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year experience processing payroll or in a role related to the payroll industry
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent in experience and education.
  • At least 1 year experience as a Team Lead or Manager
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
  • Proven proficiencies in prioritizing critical issues required
