We are strengthening our Specialist Sales Team and have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and bright individual to be part of our Sales Specialist Team. This is a sales focused role, you will be responsible for supporting Sales Account Managers in developing incremental revenue for Hybrid based cloud solutions into the existing customer base. The successful applicants will be responsible as subject matter experts to engage, understand, qualify, propose and lead the successful closure of identified public-cloud and next generation data centre solutions and service opportunities. You will work collaboratively with three Sales Teams (Commercial, Government & Healthcare) to drive the sales of Hybrid Cloud Services. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced industry professional to join and add value to an expanding friendly team.


Accountabilities and main responsibilities



  • Assisting Account Managers as an overlay sales specialist/subject matter expert selling Hybrid cloud solutions
  • Lead and own Public Cloud and Data Centre opportunities through the sales cycle
  • Own the growth of the Public Cloud and Data Centre footprint in aligned accounts
  • Work with the Account team to identify and qualify Public Cloud and Cloud Data Centre opportunities and develop pipeline within Customers
  • Assist the customer through a process of understanding their requirements, defining a solution, creating a compelling proposition, negotiating commercials and closing the deal
  • Manage virtual teams of Solution Leaders and Subject Matter Experts along with industry partners during the process of constructing solution offerings to customers which include multiple technologies, professional and contractual services
  • Show insight and thought leadership to our customers and partners regarding public and multi-cloud, FinOps and consumption models, and as-a-Service infrastructure contracts and commercial agreements
  • Extensive experience in conducting Cloud Readiness Assessments observing business and technical perspectives
  • Experience in evaluating existing data centre and digital strategies
  • Experience in conducting cloud service maps, TCO analysis, security considerations as part of a wider Cloud Adoption Framework Knowledge of the Azure Cloud Adoption Framework(s), Infrastructure-as-Code, Azure DevOps and deployment of infrastructure via Azure DevOps and associated methodology.
  • Develop strong knowledge of industry trends by developing proactive professional relationships with technology partners
  • Provide leadership and knowledge to customers and maintain a strong presence in the platform and hybrid industry community
  • Support three sales teams (Commercial, Government & Healthcare). If you have specific vertical background we would consider aligning you solely to the relevant team
  • Generate activity and performance reporting for management
  • Attending regular sales meetings working collaboratively with marketing to identify demand generation activities. Assisting with the development of marketing & sales plans and strategic approach with key vendors. Attain vendor sales certifications as required


Requirements

Essential

  • 3-5 years' experience in Hybrid cloud-based solutions in overlay sales with a proven track record of success
  • Experience in handling strategic accounts, including sales strategy, opportunity discovery, forecasting, sales presentations and working through the full sales cycle of the opportunity
  • Experience with one or more of our primary partners including Dell EMC, HPE, IBM, NetApp,
  • Experience in Converged/Hyper-Converged platforms, Virtual Infrastructures, Server, Storage, Backup and Networking etc.
  • Public and hybrid cloud experience would be beneficial, ideally with Microsoft Azure
  • Well-connected within our partner community
  • Ability to leverage existing relationships to establish new business opportunities
  • Aptitude to learn cutting-edge technology products and services across multiple vendors
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen
  • Ability to build client rapport, leading to enduring relationships
