Position Overview

We're looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our SylogistGov team! 

The successful candidate will have exceptional analytical and communication skills needed to interpret the needs of multiple stakeholders and find solutions addressing the business requirements. This individual should be passionate about driving innovation and championing improvements based on existing customer feedback.

For context, SylogistGov develops and delivers comprehensive, mission-critical cloud ERP, revenue, and operational solutions for public service organizations, including local government municipalities and special districts. As a Gold ERP and ISV vendor and a development partner for Microsoft, the company seeks an enthusiastic and proactive individual to serve as a product lead in our agile development environment.

Responsibilities Include
  • Lead the identification of customer business challenges and priorities to develop strategic product initiatives.
  • Define and articulate product vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with high-level organizational objectives.
  • Oversee the translation of strategic goals into actionable user stories, functional requirements, and wireframes.
  • Facilitate backlog grooming and sprint planning sessions, providing guidance and direction to the team.
  • Collaborate with Customer Care, Customer Success, and Sales to align product development with customer needs and market trends.
  • Engage with the product team daily, working closely with about 10 government engineers split between products, and coordinate closely with a Business Analyst and other key team members.
  • Drive the product from a roadmap perspective, crafting the roadmap in conjunction with partners and the internal sales team for a new-to-market product at an early stage, having a strong impact on feature development and market expansion opportunities.
  • Oversee functional testing processes, ensuring alignment with quality standards and product objectives.
  • Act as a Senior Subject Matter Expert in guiding User Documentation and Sales/Marketing for product release preparations.
  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing and release notes, overseeing additional release/deployment support as needed.
  • Execute day-to-day prioritization while working with QA, BAs, and developers.
What We Look for in You
Must-Haves
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in product management within enterprise software solutions.
  • Proven experience leading product strategy and management in an agile environment.
  • Deep knowledge of accounting and business processes, with specific expertise in the Local Government sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various departments.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), with an emphasis on data analysis and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience with prioritization among stakeholders and delivering against a product roadmap, including making trade-offs and decisions in an agile environment.
  • Ability to present and communicate product plans and release communication to large internal and external audiences.
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience in the government technology space, particularly within municipal government.
  • Strong exposure to enterprise environments, including experience with integrations and APIs, as these are key components being developed.
