Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager will work closely with assigned small business clients and be a key resource for them. This will be a client-facing role, so we are looking for someone who has excellent interpersonal skills on all levels.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach and mentor Associates to help them learn key accounting, budgeting, and forecasting concepts
  • Create a high-touch, trusting relationship with your assigned clients
  • Review monthly client financials prepared by Associates
  • Ensure all balance sheet account reconciliations are in order and be able to dig in and find problems when they're not
  • Explain variances to prior periods and budgets
  • Update cash flow projections and ensure your clients understand their cash position and future
  • Be a key internal accounting resource for our team when they have questions about other clients.

Experience and Skills:

  • Prior experience as an Accounting Manager/Controller
  • Five plus years of experience
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Outstanding written, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced and results based environment
  • Strong leadership, business development, training, coaching and mentoring skills
