The PBR is looking for a highly motivated, innovative developer to join our team and take the technology of our sport to the next level. You will be responsible for the design, development, and support of .Net-based applications. You must have strong C# experience including full stack web technologies as well as Windows desktop application development. The environment at PBR is flexible to allow creative development to impact and improve how the sport operates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, Develop, Test and deploy individual features with quality and performance for the future of bull riding and western sports.
- Develop highly engaging end-user applications that emphasize PBR global infrastructure.
- Write design documents and conduct unit testing to ensure correct operation of applications and libraries.
- Provide 24/7 production support when you are on on-call.
- Strive for continuous improvement of code quality and development practices.
- Anticipate system/application challenges and propose solutions for the same.
- Work collaboratively with other team members.
- Participate in design and code review to ensure quality and testability of feature code.
- Work with Partner teams to understand customer scenarios to design right solution.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Microsoft .NET technologies including C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET Web API 2, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and WPF (MVVM)
- Web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery)
- Proficient with Microsoft SQL Server including SQL, query optimization, T-SQL, DDL, DML and database design
- Familiarity with AMQP 1.0 publish/subscribe messaging is a plus
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure cloud services is a plus
- Familiarity with ASP.NET SignalR is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows products including Windows 10+, Windows Server, and Office.
- Version Control: Subversion (SVN)
- Experience with production support and customer contact
EDUCATION AND FORMAL TRAINING:
- Required is a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical training and certifications
- 2-3 years of design and development .Net applications
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Normal office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 pm
- Weekend on-call availability for event support
- Travel to PBR Events occasionally
OTHER POSITION CONSIDERATIONS:
- Open to remote hiring if candidate meets all other job requirements.
