About Us 

BeWell Health Centers are state-of-the-art Wellness Institutions located throughout the GTA. Our focus is on Integrative Psychological care for the whole family. Through personalized treatment plans and elevated administrative patient services, we meet patients where they are at the moment and work with them to find accessible, sustainable solutions so that they can live the life they want. As believers in a multifaceted approach to mental health, we are proud to work with industry-leading professionals in the fields of talk therapy, assessments and diagnosis services, medication management, and other evidence-based modalities. Our clinics address diverse issues and complex presentations across various populations, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.  

Our two clinics are conveniently located in the South Mississauga and Corktown/Durand area of Hamilton. Led by our Psychiatrists in collaboration with our Psychologists, Psychotherapists and Registered Social Workers, we offer comprehensive outpatient programs that focus on assessment and treatment/management for addictions, mood disorders, personality disorders, eating disorders, ADHD and more. 

Requirements

Main Responsibilities  

  • Provide formal assessments and diagnostic assessments (DSM-V-TR), written reports, and recommendations for adults 
  • Provide psychotherapy interventions to adults and/or couples 
  • Complete clinical documentation accurately and in a timely fashion 
  • Work independently and collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide both assessment and treatment services 
  • Provide consultation regarding psychological services to individuals, families, partner agencies, and the interdisciplinary team 
  • Maintain high level of professional practice standards and ethics 

 

Minimum eligibility includes: 

  • M.A., Ph.D., or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology 
  • Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Psychologists (CPO) 
  • 3+ years of clinical experience, post-registration 
  • Demonstrated experience in clinical interviewing, diagnosis and formulation, consultation; knowledge of typical and atypical lifespan development; experience with a broad range of psychometric tools and principles; and statistical knowledge 
  • Demonstrated experience working with adults, and experience participating on an interdisciplinary team 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal, problem solving, and time management skills. 
  • Proficiency in technology is essential, including familiarity with Electronic Medical Records systems and Microsoft 365 applications.  
  • A stable high-speed internet connection, a private home office, and the ability to conduct tele-therapy sessions are mandatory if working remotely. 
  • Candidates must secure their own professional liability insurance. 
  • The successful candidate must provide an acceptable Vulnerable Sector Screening 
  • A strong understanding of occupational stress injuries is an asset 
  • Experience working with children and adolescents as well as adults is an asset

Compensation 

BeWell Health Centers offers a range of competitive compensation consistent with your level of credentialing. Examples of compensation packages include; guaranteed daily rate, base-salary, or practitioner split models.
