Job Summary:

  • Provide direct patient access to major procedures and therapies, including resuscitation.
  • Maintain competencies in hemodynamic monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition, and ventilator management, and stay updated on evolving techniques.
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document all aspects of patient care.
  • Communicate effectively and foster therapeutic relationships with patients, families, physicians, and staff.
  • Evaluate patients' signs and symptoms, record results, and report findings.
  • Set priorities and modify patient care based on changing conditions using problem-solving skills and good judgment.
  • Collaborate with physicians to track patient progress toward outcome attainment.
  • Assist physicians during patient treatment/examinations and process orders.
  • Provide appropriate and timely notifications to physicians about changes in patient conditions.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Diploma or associate degree from a professional nursing program (required)
  • BSN or current enrollment in a BSN program at an accredited school of Nursing (preferred)

Licensure/Certifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse License or Current Multistate Compact License (required)
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Health Care Provider (required)

Experience:

  • 1 year of current nursing experience in a hospital setting (preferred)
