OpenPlatform Video Tester

Our client, a leading global IT consulting company, is recruiting for an OpenPlatform Video Tester to join their business in Germany.

Job Description :

• Validation of the functionalities of the Open Platform Video platform, including E2E validation, i.e, integrations with CDN or third party components (recommender, catchup, payment platforms, security,...) as well as certification of end-user devices for which OTT/IPTV are provided:
  

• Analysis of deliverables (tests to be executed in development environments), the creation of test plans to validate services, the execution of integration, E2E and installation tests, and the processing of result information (test execution and error reporting).
  

• Test automation, this includes component tasting, integration testing, E2E, installation, monitoring. performance, scalability.
  

• In country validation of the deployments performed.
  

• Demonstrable QA experience in: Design, planning and execution of test plan..
  

• Handling of test management and bug management tools (Jira)
  

• Bug debugging, log analysis
  

• Knowledge and/or experience in technologies will be an asset:
  

• Application servers (IIS, Weblogic, Tomcat)
  

• Caching systems (Couchbase, Redis)
  

• Relational and non-relational databases (SQLServer, MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB!
  

• Messaging brokers (RabbiMQ, Kafka)
  

• Ability to analyze complex flows and architectures, especially those related to video technologies (video coding standards, streaming protocols, CAS and MultiDRM systems).
  

• Reporting on product quality status, estimation and risk analysis
  

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  

• English speaking and as an option, German speaking will be appreciated
