As a Patient Care Associate at LYP you will be helping to improve the healthcare journey for patients. Our associates schedule patient appointments, prepare for upcoming visits and connect them with their doctors.

We are the first point of contact a patient has with their provider. Many of the practices that we work with are providing care for critically ill patients. We focus on quality over quantity. We want to ensure that all patients we speak with receive excellent service. We use a guided computer-based workflow that directs associates through the collection of information necessary for better patient care.

Important Attributes for a Patient Care Associate:

  • Positive, empathetic attitude, a true customer service mindset, and a desire to help people
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with team members and patients
  • A willingness and commitment to learn new things and grow new skill sets
  • The ability to work with multiple monitors and navigate the software

And of course, your skills & proficiencies! This should include:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum 1-year experience of customer service experience
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
  • Strong knowledge of working with remote platforms (EMR systems, PatientSync, Phone Systems, Microsoft Teams)

As a Patient Care Associate, we’re counting on you to:

  • Use the Workflow intended to combat preventable errors related to patient name, provider name, locations, date, and time
  • Be aware of your handle time goals
  • Ensuring awareness of the company and client communication
  • Scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments
  • Connecting patients with care team members
  • Interacting in a professional and compassionate manner with a senior population of patients as well as their caregivers and family members
  • Empathy and highly developed active listening skills to discern concerns not directly stated by the patient/family member
