Forge Recruitment is currently partnered with our client, a Personal Injury boutique firm located in Toronto, in the search of an Associate to join their Personal Injury Practice Group.
Responsibilities
- Draft Mediation Memoranda, Pre-Trial Memoranda, and Case Conference Summaries;
- Draft court documents including motion materials, factums, and pleadings;
- Prepare file review memos and settlement proposals;
- Attend motions and trial scheduling court hearings;
- Attend examinations for discoveries and case conferences;
- Participate in trial preparation;
- Participate in regular file reviews to effectively plan and manage each case;
- Provide research to lawyers;
- Conduct witness interviews;
- Conduct new client interviews; and
- Prepare clients for Examination Under Oath, Medical Examinations, Discoveries, and Case Conferences
- Member in good standing with LSO;
- Solid knowledge and interest in personal injury law;
- Able to provide exceptional client service; excellent people and communication skills to build good working relationships with clients;
- Able to prioritize effectively while paying attention to detail;
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a dynamic working environment;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting;
- Srategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving ability;
- Superior attention to detail and organization;
- Ability to independently research and analyze applicable law and matters;
- Persuasive writer with ability to evaluate and assess issues; and
- Strong work ethic, initiative, and accountability.
