DevOps Specialist

The PositionThe DevOps specialist will help to speed up and automate aspects of developing, testing, releasing and updating software. The person must collaborate closely between the Development team and Ops Team.

What will you do in this role? - Build and setting up new development tools and infrastructure; - Assess current systems and processes, and developing ways to improve them; - Contribute with developers and other OPS colleagues to oversee code releases; - Write specification documents; - Test and examine code written by others and analyzing results; - Identify technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’; - Plan out projects and being involved in project management decisions; - Support Application/Linux Infrastructure solution’s architecture in the cloud; - Collaborate with IT security in development and deployment of security policy, standards and guidelines related to multiple security domains; - Contribute to architecture and technology design and deployment projects using appropriate methodologies to develop production ready solutions in a cloud environment; - Supervise the work of more junior team members; - Contribute to Cloud Strategies based on core architecture principles, patterns and decisions with a focus on controls for cost optimization, optimum resource utilization, IAM, tactical security posture and governance.

Essential Skills and Experience - 2+ years managing linux servers, networking and virtualized system administration experience. - Container-based deployment and orchestrations systems (ex: Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes etc) - Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with teams across the entire organization. - Excellent understanding of computer systems, security, network and systems administration, databases and data storage systems, and telecommunications systems. - The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and the skills to deal with ambiguity - Self motivated with a desire to learn more. - Configuration management tools such as Ansible. - Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins)

Nice to have - AWS experience - Elasticsearch Stack, Message Brokers such as ActiveMQ or Artemis. - Java and Spring Boot applications. - Relational and no SQL databases.
