⭐️ The Insurance Team ⭐️
Being part of Alan's insurance team means you'll have a positive impact on people's health and wellbeing. We bring technical leadership and expertise and work hand in hand with the rest of the company, including data scientists, designers, engineers and product managers to build the most differentiating products. We build offers for large companies and civil servants with our sales and account management teams. We also make sure our business is properly monitored and risks are under control. Finally, we help the rest of the team understand the subtleties of healthcare and income protection insurance.

💻 The internship
We are seeking an exceptional Insurance Intern to join our team for a minimum of 6 months, starting ideally in June or July. You will get a chance to make a tangible impact on the healthcare field and potentially secure a future with Alan.
You will be joining the Insurance team, which focuses on innovating on our health and disability insurance products. You will have the unique opportunity to work on a blend of technical, business, and product skills.
You will dive into the lifecycle of a contract, from pricing and product implementation to the renewal phase:
- Land on our most important deals (RFP - requests for proposal) with our Sales team, contributing to build the best health and disability offers and pricing.
- Leverage and improve our underwriting digital solution, from our pricer tool to the generation of personalized presentations to our clients.
- Learn to analyze consumption reports and past technical results and use them to set the best price for a given deal.
Renewal is one of the most strategic topics for an Insurance company, where the company's profitability and client retention are at stake. At Alan, renewal is not only about prices, but also about offering the best possible journey to our customers. You will:
- Team up with Engineer, Data and Marketing teams to roll out our renewal campaign and ensure an delightful experience to our customers.
- Propose innovative solutions to use our data to challenge our repricing decisions with our Account managers teams.
- Contribute to build our first renewal campaign with our Belgium and Spain teams.
At Alan, we are at the forefront of the latest innovations in artificial intelligence. You will be expected to leverage every piece of technology at your disposal to contribute to scaling our tooling and processes.
Within the insurance team, the Alaners you will be working with and that will assist you throughout your internship at Alan include Anne, Gaelle, Laurent and Hana. They will ensure you have the guidance and resources needed to succeed.

- Good knowledge of at least one programming language (SQL, Python)
- Basic knowledge of insurance principles.

- Fluent and clear in French and English, both oral and written.
