Associate Directors can expect to design and lead major work streams through rigorous analysis and research-based thinking to solve complex client issues, both strategic and tactical in nature. What you’ll do:
- Work closely with engagement leaders and a diverse team of consultants to design and lead execution of advanced quantitative and qualitative engagement analyses across operational, strategic, and economic dimensions
- Challenge yourself with new problems multiple times per year – over 35% of our projects are from first time clients, with the velocity of new clients increasing every year
- Grow with the firm in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment – SSA & Company has nearly doubled in the past three years and is on pace to continue this trajectory
- Lead teams through the engagement process and become a senior expert in how our client’s business and operating model work. Associate Directors serve as primary points of contact for clients on engagements
- Design and deploy advanced analytics and digital solutions to solve our clients most challenging problems
- Develop managerial hypotheses, as well as quantitative and qualitative tests to prove or disprove them solving complex client challenges
- Create high-quality PowerPoint communications designed for a multitude of audiences, ranging from line-managers to CEOs and Board Members to communicate findings, recommendations, strategies, and plans
- Become the day-to-day face of the firm through building deep, effective working relationships with a wide array of clients in different industries.
- Secondary development opportunities include working on internal IP development (e.g., new frameworks, analytical models, etc.), conducting industry research and analysis, supporting business development efforts, and other internal projects
- Collaborate with the full firm and participate in our firm-wide events (both in person and virtual)
What you need:
- 4-8 years of prior business experience required, prior consulting experience in a top management consulting firm, corporate strategy role, or investment banking/PE role strongly preferred
- Proven ability to execute rigorous, analytically-intensive work, including demonstrated mastery of Excel. Knowledge advanced data analysis, visualization, and statistical tools a plus, but not required
- Demonstrated track record of working a in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team where success depends on the contributions of each individual
- High degree of comfort performing in an ambiguous, fast-paced, but highly rewarding and stimulating environment with unique exposure to global executives
- Superb communications (written and oral) and interpersonal skills required
- High degree of comfort playing a general role and gaining exposure to new industries and business models frequently
- Bachelor’s degree with excellent academic credentials from a top-tier institution required. Academic focus in business, economics, engineering/computer sciences preferred
- Master’s degree or above in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Statistics/Analytics, or other business-related discipline strongly preferred
- Comfortable with extensive travel
SSA & Company provides a competitive salary range for our open requisitions. Actual salary is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, education, and other business and organizational needs. The range of starting annual salary for this role is $140,000-$200,000. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
In addition to the base salary, this position is eligible for performance-based incentives and a competitive benefits package.
