Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Dietitian Manager to lead our team of full-time dietitians at Foodsmart. Our Foodsmart RDs leverage Foodsmart's digital platform to provide a broad range of nutrition and health-related consultations, ultimately helping our members stretch their food dollar, eat healthier, and reduce the risk of chronic disease.
As a member of our full-time provider team, you’ll directly change the lives of the members we serve alongside our providers; and as a manager, you’ll have the opportunity to 10x that impact by coaching and supporting the professional development and clinical performance of a team of providers.
The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for coaching and professional development, and a commitment to enhancing member outcomes. This role involves a blend of performance management aligned with company goals, team management, clinical oversight, and data-driven decision-making to ensure our team meets and exceeds business goals and performance metrics.

About the role
As an essential member of our clinical team, you’ll play a crucial role in supporting our full-time dietitians. Your primary responsibility will be to manage the development and performance of a pod of full-time dietitians. In addition, you will partner with the clinical leadership team to understand upcoming process and quality improvement initiatives and will lead your team through change via clear communication, empathy, and easy-to-understand metrics. We’re seeking an individual who has exceptional communication skills and understands how to cultivate an environment of high performance and strong clinical outcomes that are aligned with business goals and improving member outcomes.

You will
  • Provide day-to-day support and oversight of registered dietitians to drive employee engagement and satisfaction, quality of care delivery, and member outcomes
  • Manage the development and performance of a team of full-time dietitians
  • Build a clinical culture that engages and retains high quality, high performing clinicians
  • Leverage data and insights to drive decisions related to hiring and performance metrics
  • Identify opportunities to improve care delivery and coaching quality via training, education, technology, etc.
  • Assess individual provider performance and identify strategies and behaviors that can be scaled across the team to drive clinical outcomes
  • Provide MNT to Foodsmart members in order to stay up-to-date with best practices and to keep a pulse point on clinical workflows (~25%)

  • You Are
  • Experienced at managing a team of high-performing clinicians and are excited to empower a team of providers to perform at their best
  • A strong communicator who balances transparency with empathy and helps clinicians understand what success in their role looks like
  • Driven by Foodsmart's mission: you get satisfaction from helping Medicaid populations that are regularly underserved
  • Data-driven; you use data and performance dashboards to guide your management strategy, conversations, and decision making
  • A self-starter with an independent approach; if you see a problem or opportunity for improvement, you’ll create and own a quality improvement initiative
  • Resourceful, creative and solution-oriented when it comes to solving problems and addressing challenges
  • A manager with a high standard for performance; you clearly define expectations and hold teams accountable for delivering strong clinical ROI

  • You Have
  • 5+ years of people management experience, ideally managing clinicians
  • Experience in a digital health or health tech organization
  • A track record of leading teams and holding teams accountable to successfully meet and exceed KPIs
  • Active credentialing as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and Licensed Dietitian
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attentiveness to detail
  • Role: RD Manager
    Level: 3-5+ years management experience
    Location: Remote
Base Salary Range: $65,000/yr + bonus potential of up to $25,000

    About our benefits and perks:
    Remote-First Company
    10 days PTO
    11 Company holidays
    Healthcare Coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)
    401k and Bonus potential
    Flexible hours
    Gym reimbursement
