Farrow and Ball – Regional Sales Executive - South Germany (40 hours per week)

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Sales team in Germany as a Regional Sales Executive responsible for South Germany. We are offering this position on a full-time, permanent basis 40 hours per week.

Farrow & Ball are a luxury British lifestyle brand that prides itself in creating richly pigmented paint and handcrafted wallpaper, using print methods dating back 300 years and the finest quality ingredients.

As a Regional Sales Executive, you will be responsible for expanding lucrative third-party sales within a specified sales region in Southern Germany. The region will cover Bayern, Baden-Württemberg, Rheinland-Pfalz, Hessen, Thüringen, Nordrhein-Westfalen. Oversee and enhance both the stockist and trade book holder networks, ensuring that both channels exceed performance targets. Work closely with the Sales Manager to execute the sales strategy for South Germany and accomplish business objectives in this region.

What we expect from you as a Regional Sales Executive:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Expand the stockist network by identifying potential stockists, primarily targeting decorating professionals, and persuading them to carry and promote F&B products.
  • Increase sales within existing stockist network by enhancing on-shelf availability and motivating sales and marketing efforts.
  • Continuously assess and evaluate all stockists and trade book holders to optimize performance. • Offer technical support in the sale and application of F&B products, including training for new and existing stockists and their contractors.
  • Ensure comprehensive product knowledge across all channels to provide superior customer advice, including upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Develop detailed sales forecasts and budget proposals per account as needed.
  • Participate in local events hosted by customers and national trade shows where F&B is represented.
  • Attend annual stockist workshops and events in Germany and the UK as necessary.
  • Provide regular verbal and written progress reports to the Country Manager.
  • Implement the agreed-upon German marketing strategy for third-party channels.
  • Enforce merchandising and display standards among all stockists.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and industry trends, offering recommendations to ensure Farrow & Ball remains competitive.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service at all times, promptly addressing any issues with the Country Manager and actively seeking resolutions.
  • Uphold the quality and integrity of the F&B brand, serving as a brand ambassador.

Key Attributes:

  • Proficiency in relevant languages - German as a native language, complemented by proficient written and spoken English skills.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and expanding sales within the market, coupled with adept negotiating abilities.
  • Strong determination to achieve results and a resolute drive for success.
  • Preferably, a background in selling paint or other specialised interior products, along with established retail connections in the local area.
  • Ideally, possesses a solid technical comprehension of paint and wallpaper, or a willingness to acquire such knowledge.
  • Preferably, has experience working with paint and wallpaper applications in the German market.
  • Experienced in on-the-road sales, capable of efficiently managing time and appointments to optimize profitability.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the region.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trust and rapport with new customers.
