Position Objective:
The Segment Manager - Food & Beverage plans, directs, controls, and coordinates the sales of the company’s products within the Food and Beverage customer segment and the field sales force, working directly with F&B manufacturers to implement AAF’s value added products and services. The role ensures products are sold in accordance with budgeted objectives to obtain maximum profitability and sales volume in relation to established marketing and sales standards while continually evaluating the timely adjustment of the company’s marketing strategy and sales plans to meet changing marketing and sales conditions.
Key Accountabilities:
· Formulate and recommend policies and objectives for the organization’s sales activities to ensure achievement of business sales and profitability objectives.
· Coordinate activities of the marketing operation in accomplishing organization objectives and sales goals.
· Direct sales planning which includes an analysis of competitive products and selling techniques, market share, quotas, pricing, and distribution.
· Formulate and recommend policies and objectives to ensure the most effective operation of direct field sales activities. Ensure that approved policies and objectives are fully understood by all assigned personnel.
· Recommend product modifications or improvements based on findings of marketing research, technical service work, or sales personnel feedback.
· Recommend pricing policies including quantities, terms and conditions of sales.
· Recommend delegation of pricing authority and individual pricing questions with policy implications.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
