Job description

 Position- Linux Administrator
Exp- 10 Years
Location- Remote
Notice Period- Immediate to 15 days
Note: One Project should be done in SAP. Person needs SAP environment experience.
Job Responsibilities
The Linux System Administrator will be responsible for:
  1. Installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining Linux operating systems and servers.
  2. Implementing, managing, and maintaining AWS services, including EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, and VPC.
  3. Implementing and maintaining system security, including AWS security groups, network ACLs, and IAM policies.
  4. Ensuring optimal performance and stability of servers and network services.
  5. Managing server resources, ensuring high uptime, and making necessary adjustments.
  6. Implementing and maintaining system security, including firewalls, permissions, users, and groups.
  7. Configuring and managing network services, such as DNS, DHCP, HTTP, and FTP.
  8. Performing regular data backups and system updates to ensure data integrity and system security.
  9. Writing scripts to automate repetitive tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce human error, utilizing AWS Lambda or other appropriate services.
  10. Troubleshooting and resolving system, network, and server issues.
  11. Documenting system configurations, updates, processes, and known issues for future reference.
  12. Collaborating with IT staff and providing support to other employees as needed.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  2. Proven experience as a Linux System Administrator, preferably in an AWS environment.
  3. Strong knowledge of the Linux operating system and server hardware and software.
  4. Experience with scripting and automation (Bash, Python, Perl, etc.).
  5. Strong understanding of AWS services and infrastructure.
  6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  7. Knowledge of system security and data backup/recovery, particularly in AWS.
  8. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred
  1. Professional certification (such as RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) is a plus.
  2. Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, KVM, etc.) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
