Business Data Analyst

Job Summary:
RingCentral is looking for a Business Data Analyst in our Digital Operations department. The ideal candidate
will be someone who loves to problem solve in a collaborative setting, take on big challenges, work with non
technical business partners, and tell stories using data. This position will be focused on sales metrics.
Job Responsibilities:
• Responsible for applying data analysis tools and techniques to provide insights and actionable
recommendations for the business.
• Create and maintain KPI data sets.
• Design, develop, produce, and test reports & dashboards through Tableau, Salesforce.com, and/or
other Enterprise-level reporting tools.
• Present findings and recommendations to various levels of the business, including Executive
Leadership.
• Interprets and applies data in highly complex analyses and explains findings to business audiences
to improve products and processes.
• Documents projects including business objectives, data gathering and processing, leading
approaches, final algorithm, detailed set of results and analytical metrics.
• Design, build, and automate key findings into visualizations that tell a story. Establish processes and
standards that encourage trust with data and provide consistent metrics across the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years experience in a professional environment.
• At least 2 years of experience working with, and presenting, SaaS and/or Telco sales data.
• Proficiency in one or many analytics languages like SQL/python/R/Spark etc.
• Experience with Python in a data analysis capacity is preferred but not required.
• 3+ years experience in using SQL (Impala and MYSQL will be used) is required.
• 3+ years experience in Tableau visualization is required.
• Advanced knowledge of Salesforce.com data structure and the Salesforce.com Query API.
• Experience in performing analyses, interpreting data, and presenting findings to business audiences.
• Experience presenting to all levels of an organization.
Preferred Qualifications
• Graduate degree in a quantitative, computational, or technical discipline
