Description

PCG is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Cerner Millennium Discern Analytics Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in Cerner Millennium Discern Analytics to analyze, interpret, and present data-driven insights to support critical decision-making processes within our organization. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation: Utilize your proficiency in Cerner Millennium Discern Analytics to analyze large and complex datasets, identify trends, patterns, and correlations, and extract valuable insights to support business objectives. 
  • Report Development: Develop and design reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Cerner Millennium Discern Analytics tools to present data in a clear, concise, and visually appealing manner. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and deliver solutions that meet their requirements. 
  • Data Modeling and Transformation: Design and implement data models and transformations using Cerner Millennium Discern Analytics tools to ensure accurate and consistent data representation. Apply your knowledge of data management best practices to optimize data quality and integrity. 
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of Cerner Millennium Discern Analytics solutions and provide timely troubleshooting and issue resolution. Identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements to optimize system performance and reliability. 
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, healthcare professionals, and IT professionals, to gather requirements, understand business needs, and communicate analytical findings and recommendations effectively. 
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users on Cerner Millennium Discern Analytics tools and functionalities. Assist in developing training materials and conducting workshops to promote user adoption and proficiency. 
  • Stay Updated: Stay abreast of industry trends, advancements in Cerner Millennium Discern Analytics, and healthcare analytics best practices. Continuously enhance your knowledge and skills to remain a subject matter expert in the field. 
Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus. 
  • Strong experience working with Cerner Millennium Discern Analytics tools, including but not limited to Discern Explorer, Discern Expert, and Discern Visual Developer. 
  • Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation languages for data extraction, transformation, and analysis. 
  • Proven track record of working with large datasets and performing complex data analysis using Cerner Millennium Discern Analytics. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. 
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data, terminologies, and workflows. 
  • Familiarity with data modeling and data integration concepts. 
  • Experience in report development and data visualization using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos. 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
