Job description

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a Senior Level Lead Back End Engineer skilled in Java and comfortable working within the AWS environment. The role encompasses supporting new feature development, migrating existing features, and creating APIs. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Java backend development using the Spring Boot framework and experience in leading teams.



Requirements
  • Proficient in Java (version 11 and above) and Spring Boot framework.
  • Understanding of Design Patterns and the ability to design architectural blueprints and application designs.
  • Experience with RDBMS such as Postgres and MySQL, integrating them using Hibernate/JPA.
  • Good experience with event-based architecture using messaging queues like RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka, etc.
  • Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI for Java is a plus.
  • Proven experience working on large, demonstrable projects with teams.
  • Experience with development pipelines, test automation, continuous integration, and deployment in cloud-based environments.
  • Knowledge of modern architecture concepts like Microservices, design patterns, and Agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum).
  • Experience with various AWS services (e.g., Lambda, Cognito, DynamoDB, RDS).
  • Experience leading teams in software solution design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for automation and lead cross-departmental evaluation sessions.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and explore unfamiliar domains.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to sharing knowledge and participating in the community.
  • Ability to work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection.
