Job description

This is a remote position.

Job responsibilities:

●Develop and maintain efficient, scalable, and reliable backend applications and API services.

●Build high-performing, scalable 1st and 3rd party data reporting services.

●Build and monitor scalable data pipelines that will receive millions of hits every day.

●Build automated alert systems to maintain uptime of multiple distributed web applications.

●Write high-coverage automated test suites that involve unit and integration tests.

●Write code that can handle 5-10X more scale than the given requirement.

●Identify code bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems.

●Mentor fellow team members and actively participate in code reviews.

●Provide top-notch customer support and build ad-hoc tech solutions.

Requirements
●Excellent hands-on experience with designing/implementing/maintaining scalable distributed systems.

●Excellent working knowledge with any modern backend language and its ecosystem (Python/Go/Ruby).

●Excellent hands-on experience with building scalable backend applications with any NoSQL database (CouchBase/Cassandra/MongoDB/DynamoDB).

●Good hands-on experience with any async message broker (RabbitMQ/IBM MQ/Apache Kafka/Google Cloud Pub/Sub/Amazon MQ).

●Good hands-on experience with any server-side caching solution(Redis/Memcached/Hazelcast/Apache Cassandra/ElasticSearch).

●Good working knowledge with any package manager (Pip/Homebrew/NPM/Go Modules).

●Good hands-on experience with any cloud platform and its services (AWS/Azure/GCP).

●Working knowledge of big-data pipelines using Hadoop/Spark/Kafka is a plus.

●Hands-on experience with NodeJS and its ecosystem is a plus.

●Brownie points for an impressive Github profile.
