Job Summary**

Liberty University’s School of Education doctoral team is seeking an Online Adjunct Quantitative Dissertation Chair or Committee Member to challenge doctoral candidates academically and spiritually. Primary responsibilities will include supervising doctoral candidates conducting research that is methodologically sound, provide detailed feedback specific to quantitative research methods, maintain communication with candidates to ensure compliance with SOE dissertation handbook and university policies. This posting is for remote doctoral chairs/committee member positions. **

Minimum Qualifications**

  • Applicant must have an EdD or PhD in Education
    • Degree must be from an institution accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • Full doctrinal compatibility with Liberty University
  • Must demonstrate expertise in qualitative research
  • Superior interpersonal, customer service, presentation, and communication skills required
  • Creative, innovative, and problem-solving skills required
  • Proficiency in MS Office, and Learning Management Systems (e.g. Canvas)

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates with an established record of research evidenced by intellectual and professional contributions to the field through peer-reviewed publication and conference presentations. Preference will be given to candidates with capstone, dissertation, or thesis mentorship experience and experience teaching research methods using online learning platforms (e.g., Canvas). Candidates must work well with others and be able to work at a pace that will not delay the progress of a doctoral candidate toward timely completion of the doctoral degree.
