Acting as a Scrum Master for a project.
Following the company’s agile process and SDLC.
• Creating a healthy team culture.
• Coordinate daily activities of collocated, remote or hybrid teams, sometimes even with external contractors.
• Engage stakeholders to clarify project requirements.
• Maintain the consistency of the project backlog following guidelines, tools and templates (e.g., INVEST, a user story format, acceptance criteria).
• Organize project ceremonies such as project kick-off meetings and project retrospectives.
• Establish and document Definition of Ready and Definition of Done for backlog items.
• Plan sprints and define and control sprint scope, applying appropriate agile techniques.
• Facilitate feature and backlog item estimation sessions by applying appropriate estimation techniques.
• Identify, address and resolve team issues and impediments on time.
• Monitor project and team health by using agile methods (e.g., burn down charts).
• Managing the sprint backlog and implement change management best practices.
• Coach team members and stakeholders regarding the agile project process.
• Providing feedback and contribute to performance assessments of peers.
• Report status to relevant stakeholders following standard procedures and company-wide KPIs and metrics.
• Onboard new team members.
Keeping up to date with new approaches and frameworks in software project management.
