Senior backend engineer

This is a remote position.

UpTeam is a Silicon Valley technology consulting company. We work with stable VC-funded startups and corporate innovators, use the latest open-source technologies and build new businesses in the area of Big Data, Mobile, Social eCommerce, and FinTech.

We are looking for a highly motivated backend developer for the world’s first and only R&D Data cloud development project.

About the project

Our client is a US company delivering advanced data-centric capabilities to automate the full life cycle of R&D data. Our open, configurable, API-driven, and vendor-agnostic data cloud gives global life sciences companies the freedom of choice to connect their existing heterogeneous systems and best-of-breed data solutions, while replatforming to the cloud.

We’ve built, tested, and productized automated data acquisition to ingest client’s R&D data, whether on prem, in the cloud, file, software or IoT.

• Improve and extend existing system services and participate in new backend features development
  

• Implement complex features by taking on different responsibilities including, but not limited to: development, testing, code review and support tasks
  

• Ensure continuous product delivery process with high quality and performance
  

• Enforce healthy development processes and best practices adopted by client
  

• Grow your own skills and capabilities, surrounded by like-minded, crazy-smart, passionate creators focused on building best-in-class products
  

• Collaborate with the product team to define and track goals and objectives,
  From idea through design to completion, all of your work will be on the critical path for the team and the business

Requirements

Required Skills and Experience

• Expertise in JavaScript (es6)
  
• Experience with Postgres
  
• Experience with Node.JS and API frameworks, i.e. express
  
• English level B2

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  
• Experience with AWS Lambdas and AWS data processing and analyzing services, i.e. Athena
