Position Focus**
The Portfolio & Grant Accountant will be responsible for the financial management and oversight of a portfolio of accounts, including financial reporting and analysis, budgeting, and planning. This includes complex modeling for PI’s portfolio, comprised of both sponsored and non-sponsored funds, to develop long and short-term resource plans. This individual will manage subawards and prepare financial reports for federal and non-federal sponsors. The successful candidate will also be responsible for Monthly Financial Reporting and Compliance – Extracting, consolidating, and analyzing data from a variety of sources for use in communicating budget, actuals, and forecast. Responsible for aspects of the monthly financial review checklist for the research mission, inclusive of corrective actions determined necessary because of the review. This individual will also foster working partnerships and communications with faculty, PIs, OSP and department administrators. **
Essential Duties**
Required Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree required. Four years of related financial experience required. Demonstrated application of financial, accounting and economic concepts. **

Well-developed financial analysis and data mining skills and an understanding of financial models. **
Required Skill/Ability 2**
Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work. Ability to resolve conflicting demands. Demonstrated self-directed ability to be proactive, take initiative, problem solve and exercise independent judgement. **
Required Skill/Ability 3**
Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to cultivate and maintain strong working partnerships with Faculty, Principal Investigators, Sponsors, OSP, OSP Financial Management, and other key stakeholders. **
Required Skill/Ability 4**
Demonstrated understanding of continual process improvement and data driven process monitoring and decision-making. The ability to work remotely, including an adequate workspace with internet access. **
Required Skill/Ability 5**
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated and work well as part of a team. **

Prior grant administration and Workday experience. **
