Job description

The New Account Analyst is responsible for meeting and exceeding Service Level Agreements (SLA). This is a very structured position that includes learning and communicating operational/legal procedures, multiple systems and financial industry policies while working in a fast-paced environment. Additional duties and tasks (processing, special projects, etc.) will be required dependent upon business needs. **

Primary Responsibilities included but not limited to:**

  • Review of all new business mutual fund applications and investor profiles for our proprietary mutual fund, brokerage, and non-proprietary (mutual fund, variable annuity, group annuity) vendors.
  • Ensure all applications and investor profiles meet our In Good Order completeness requirements and are in compliance with all Securities policies and securities industry regulations such as Regulation Best Interest (Reg BI).
  • Meet and exceed daily application goal assignments.
  • Effectively and clearly communicate to our agents and clients(as needed), any missing information that required to make the paperwork in good order, and initiating timely follow-ups when necessary.
  • Managing workflow queues to exceed our service levels, including regular daily review of all Pended new business for receipt of missing information.
  • Entering the new account information into our database systems.
  • Follow all procedures related to the handling of new business.
  • Managing Control Reports reports.
  • Handling of our agent Succession and Unprocessed Commissions processes.
  • Managing rejected paperwork workflow.
  • Processing and updating client profile information through Book & Records periodic notifications and other written instructions.
  • Managing return mail.
  • Handling various In force correspondence and maintenance items such as beneficiary updates, check writing feature requests, name changes, review and processing of Power of Attorney requests, various ad-hoc letters of instruction.
  • Managing incoming faxes, e-mails, and rejected work items.
  • .Possible matriculation to handling incoming calls from our agents and clients related to new business and our eApp technology

  • Strong technical and analytical skills required.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and listening skills.
  • High School Diploma required; Bachelor's Degree – Finance or Business discipline preferred.
  • Series 7 & 63 FINRA licenses desired but not required.
  • Experience with National Financial Service FBSI mainframe system, Securities internal systems, Service Central, Client Information System (CIS), commission system (MFAS).
