Note: APA operates on a 37.5-hour work week with one hour lunch breaks each day. APA sets salaries based on several considerations, including years of relevant experience, level of education, and previous staff and/or governance experience at APA.
The Site Visit Coordinator is responsible for scheduling accreditation site visits and assisting in all activities related to the site visit process, including accreditation trainings. The Site Visit Coordinator must apply the Standards of Accreditation (SoA) in order to conduct high-quality reviews of psychology program compliance reports based on the SoA; serves as a key-leader during Commission on Accreditation (CoA) meetings; and composes detailed correspondence regarding accreditation decision outcome feedback which may reflect negative decisions that pose legal implications and require legal consultation and review. The Site Visit Coordinator must operate with an awareness of the confidential nature of accreditation information and program materials to avoid putting the office at legal risk.
Education and Experience Required
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Liberal Arts, or a related field and 3+ years of general office experience that included independent decision making and demonstration of good judgment. Excellent formal writing skills, a keen attention to detail, and experience with APA format are required, as are strong analysis, communication, and organizational skills in relation to prioritizing and managing a diverse and demanding workload. Experience with database systems, detailed scheduling and coordinating, and customer service preferred. Knowledge of accreditation processes and services preferred.
