You Are**
The Senior Cloud Operations team member is an expert in working on the AWS cloud environment and has strong practical experience with cloud computing and automation practices. They can support multiple environments with varying amounts of resources and can address deficiencies in infrastructure as code. They will also champion and ensure adherence to business standards and industry best-practices. **
The Opportunity**
- Leads troubleshooting tasks in the cloud environment, using AWS native tools such as CloudTrail and CloudWatch.
- Produces IaC using CloudFormation and Code Pipeline, troubleshooting when errors occur. Knowledgeable in compute, data, network, and security methods and technologies
- Ensures compliance to security standards and business processes and leads remediation efforts.
- Looks for opportunities for improvements in efficiency and cost reduction
- Engages in stand-ups, change reviews, and leads root cause analysis.
- Can help junior members and provide them support, when needed
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required. **
What You Need**
- Experience with shell scripting and AWS CLI.
- Experience writing and troubleshooting Python code.
- Familiarity with any programming language like Python or AngularJS.
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator and other certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience in cloud security and cloud best practices.
- Experience with policies, IAM, and how to manage cross-account workloads.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience leading troubleshooting of cloud-related issues.
- Experience creating architecture diagrams and runbooks.
- Bachelors or advanced degree in Computer Science or Information Systems, or applicable experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working with AWS services including computes, serverless computes, databases, networking, storage, and security resources.
- Competent writing CloudFormation and CodePipelines used to deploy and update Infrastructure as Code.
- Can use CloudWatch and CloudTrail logs to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Desirable to have experience with Athena to query large log files.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by local law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York or Washington as set forth below. **
Role Location: Remote**
Compensation Range: $71,000-$107,000
Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits. Depending on the role, some associates may also be eligible for stock options. **
