We're looking for a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Observability team, supporting colleagues with technical challenges and resolving issues. You'll collaborate across teams to ensure reliability, performance, and scalability using modern tech and practices. Coordinating tasks to meet business objectives, this role presents an exciting opportunity to shape pioneering observability solutions and significantly impact our organization's success. **
You'll Be Responsible For**
π Developing and maintaining observability systems and tools to monitor, measure, and analyze software performance, availability, and reliability.
π Cultivating a collaborative culture, empowering teams to monitor their services effectively.
π Advocating for improved observability, identifying areas for optimization and refactoring.
π Exploring Datadog features to enhance telemetry, libraries, and patterns for team use.
π Collaborating across teams to refine SLOs and industry-standard dashboards for tracing, metrics, and logging.
π Assisting in incident response and troubleshooting by utilizing observability data for effective resolutions.
π Mentoring team members, offering technical guidance, and fostering continuous learning and professional growth. **
Requirements**
π Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
π 5+ years of software development or equivalent experience, emphasizing observability, monitoring, or performance engineering.
π Expertise in establishing observability processes and tools for 24/7 service visibility in Production.
π Prioritize design simplicity and consistency.
π Proficiency with Datadog and PagerDuty.
π Adaptability to our tech stack: GoLang, Typescript, Python, GraphQL, Kubernetes, AWS, Helm, Terraform, Postgres, Kafka.
π Previous experience monitoring production services from DevOps or SRE perspective.
π Proficient in remote collaboration with distributed teams.
π Self-motivated, excelling in a deadline-driven environment.
π Excellent communication skills, passionate about problem-solving and innovating with development teams.
π Interpersonal communication adeptness, simplifying complex topics for broader audiences.
π Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities based on accurate analyses.
β°Working time: Engineers are working in normal hours for time zones for 5-6 hours. Remaining hours (2-3) they should plan accordingly within the overlap time slot (up to 22:00 CEST to avoid night shift). **
