Overview

you will play an important role supporting, maintaining and enhancing IP Rights management systems. This role will work within a multi-discipline production support and maintenance team, following agile principles to maintain and enhance IT systems. Working closely with other developers, business analysts and other technical specialists the role will ensure the ongoing availability and performance of production systems, as well as design, develop and deploy continuous improvements.

Under the direction of the Director and Team Leader, this role will:

Be engaged in developing, deploying, investigating, designing, maintaining and supporting IT applications that support Clients business objectives.

  • Document decisions, processes, designs, etc. to ensure system specification and status are accurate and up to date.
  • Work with Business Analysts and End Users to translate requirements into technical designs for implementation and deployment.
  • Collaborate and mentor team members to promote team harmony and support cross-skilling professional development.
  • Instill a culture of learning, collaboration, and continuous improvement in a team environment.
  • Support and promote agile delivery practices within the team
  • Undertake additional duties as required;

Essential Criteria Weighting

1. Demonstrated experience with development and troubleshooting of Java Swing applications 35%

2. Demonstrated experience in development and troubleshooting of Java EJB 2/EJB3 enterprise applications 35%

3. Experience in platform infrastructure, application integration and deployment architecture tools such as JBoss, OpenShift, relational databases, SQL, AWS S3, JxBrowser, REST APIs, GitHub and/or Jenkins. 30%

Desirable Criteria

1. Understanding of and/or experience with Intellectual Property Rights (or similar) administrative processes and workflows in an IT application context.
