Job description

Unless specified below as an in-office/in-person position, this is a remote opportunity. All remote positions require applicants to have a reliable internet connection. Ingenuity Studios is seeking a Lighting Artist, responsible for the lighting and rendering of CG characters, objects, and environments in live-action episodes, feature films, music videos and commercials. Teamwork and collaboration are key as this role interacts with a variety of departments, including VFX Supervisors and Production, working closely with one another to accomplish all tasks. Our Artists require a high degree of technical skill and artistic judgement.

Responsibilities:

Light / look develop for integration of CG elements
Light / look develop for full CG shots
Interface with other departments to collect assets and shots forward
Optimize your render set-ups for efficient render farm usage and to improve the quality of results
Ability to create lighting setups to be used by other artists

Requirements:

At least one year of experience as a Lighter in a VFX Production environment
Knowledge of Houdini or a willingness to learn
Knowledge of Maya
Experience with Renderman a plus
An understanding of compositing techniques in Nuke
A Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience

California Pay Range

$30—$60 USD
