Head of Engineering

Paynest is looking to empower employers to build a resilient financial future for every employee. We are looking for a great Head of Engineering to lead our technical team and to help us bring this vision to life.

As the Head of Engineering reporting directly to the CEO and Co-Founder, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of our product, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability. You will be expected to provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the engineering team, while working closely with other departments to ensure that our technology solutions are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead Paynest’s engineering team in the development, maintenance, and improvement of the product
• Work closely with our Head of Product to develop and maintain a development roadmap for the engineering team, ensuring that it is aligned with the company's strategic goals and objectives
• Participate in hiring and onboarding the rest of the engineering team as Paynest grows
• Identify and manage technical risks, ensuring that they are addressed proactively
• Define and implement best practices for software development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and assess their potential impact on Paynest’s solutions
