We’re recruiting for a killer design agency that create dope designs for killer brands

And they need a Junior Designer to come in and help them make Salted Ridge one of the best niche design agencies in the world.

The RoleAs the Digital Designer, you will collaborate with a diverse range of companies and have your own set of clients to engage with.

You’ll be responsible for: - Social media posts. - Conceptualise and create visually appealing digital assets for clients. You will: - Utilise Figma to craft engaging websites and landing pages. - Design dynamic layouts for PDF projects, such as eBooks, brochures, and pitch decks. - Develop robust brand identity systems. - Create high-level print projects, including roller banners, window signage, and vehicle decals. - Client management. You’ll attend client meetings to establish project priorities and action plans. You’ll work with a diverse range of clients daily and build strong working relationships with them. - Collaborating with team members. You will participate in morning stand-up meetings to discuss ongoing projects and any required support.

The Person - 0-3+ years of experience working within marketing teams or in-house at a design studio or marketing agency. - Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite, especially in Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. - Prior experience using design tools such as Figma. - Experience in creating design systems to ensure consistent and high-quality work delivery to clients. - Strong visual design skills aligned with current trends and a foundation in clean, layout-focused design. - Experience in developing strong brand identities. - Excellent communication skills with clients and a consistent daily design output.

Nice-to-Haves: - Experience working with SaaS brands. - WordPress site building using ElementorPro. - Proficiency in Adobe After Effects for animation or video creation.

About Salted RidgeFounded this year with a vision of reimagining the studio's operations, Salted Ridge’s Dynamic Time Bank enables clients to purchase their services and utilise them over a month or longer for their design projects. This provides all businesses and charities with an affordable, consistent, and high-level design solution. Your work may vary from day to day, from concentrating solely on one client to distributing your time across three clients.

Salted Ridge operate as a fully remote team, and they’re dedicated to leveraging their design expertise to maximise impact for their clients, the community, and the environment. All the electricity consumed during your design work will be offset to help reduce our studio's CO2 emissions.

Salary and BenefitsSalary range: R18,000 - R25,000 per month (dependent on experience).

Through Marketing Pros, the successful candidate will have access to a shared workspace in Cape Town, a Slack group with other South Africa-based marketing professionals, and regular social and training events.
